Meet The Therapist

I created Black Healing Practice to be a space where Black clients especially Black women do not have to shrink, explain, or overperform in order to be understood.
I am a licensed mental health clinician and the founder of Black Healing Practice. My work focuses on supporting Black women navigating burnout, racialized stress, identity strain, leadership pressure, and the emotional toll of existing in systems that were not designed with them in mind. I also work with Black men and women seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional healing beyond the workplace.
My approach is grounded in the belief that many of the struggles Black clients bring to therapy are not personal failures, but intelligent responses to chronic stress and systemic pressure. Therapy here is not about fixing you or making you more resilient to harm. It is about helping you feel safer in your body, clearer in your boundaries, and more connected to who you are beneath survival mode.
I offer a space that is emotionally safe, culturally responsive, and honest. I do not minimize the impact of racism, sexism, power, or institutional stress. At the same time, I support clients in building sustainable coping strategies, making values-aligned decisions, and reconnecting with themselves without self-abandonment.
My therapeutic style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I integrate trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches, tailoring care to the individual rather than forcing clients into a one-size-fits-all model. Healing happens when clients feel seen as whole people not just symptoms, diagnoses, or roles they carry.
If you are looking for a therapist who understands the weight you carry and who will support you in putting some of it down you are welcome here.
